Oh boy....it is all suppose to be fun, but when you have a program being ran by a young guy, with no consistency, well problems will arise! This year Pacey is playing on what is suppose to be a 3rd/4th grade basketball team. Well, the YMCA did not have enough 5th graders sign up to make a 5th grade league, so the Y put them with the 3rd/4th graders. Now, this was not a great idea to begin with BUT the Y put almost all of the 5th graders on the SAME TEAM!!!! Well, needless to say that team is creaming the competition! We played them today and it was not pretty....parents are outraged, coaches have started RECRUITING 5th graders to play on their teams! I predict this could get very ugly before it is all over with!
Pace had a great game, still did not score, but great effort...very involved. You can tell he is really starting to understand the game. Too Cute:) He got right in there and guarded those bigger boys, no fear!!!
Parker is under the weather. He got up before 5am on Sat. morning with a low grade fever and cough. No fever most of the day, but it is started coming back Sat. evening. He did not eat much of anything today, but played alot, and was his normal sassy self;) Hopefully Sunday will be a better day for him!
Crazy Illinois weather: It has been thundering tonight....chance of snow on Monday!
